Kawader ERP — Poultry — Farm to Portion
Poultry breaks the ordinary rule that a work order makes a product. One input becomes many outputs at once, and the cost of the bird is decided weeks before the slaughterhouse sees it.
What a general system gets wrong here
One input, many outputs, one moment
Breast, leg, wing, offal and by-products all appear from the same kill. The cost has to be split across them by value rather than by weight, or the breast subsidises the frame and nobody can see which line actually earns.
Three weights for one bird
Live weight, carcass weight and saleable weight, with a loss at each step. Those losses are the operation's real performance measure, and they have to be comparable between houses, between shifts and between seasons.
The farm is already in the cost
Feed conversion, mortality and days to weight decide what the bird cost before processing begins. A system that starts at the factory gate is costing the last third of the business.
Fresh and frozen are one line and two businesses
The same cut has hours as fresh and months as frozen, and the decision is made after production, not before. Stock, pricing and the customer are different on each side of it.
