Kawader ERP — Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Pharmaceutical manufacturing is the case where the record is as much the product as the tablet. An inspector will ask about a batch made years ago, and the answer has to be reconstructable, not remembered.
What a general system gets wrong here
Nothing moves without release
A batch sits in quarantine until quality signs it. Every movement before that is internal, and the system has to enforce it at the point of transaction rather than report the breach afterwards.
The batch record is the product
Dispensing, in-process checks, deviations and yields all belong to the batch. Years later it must be possible to lay the whole history of one batch in front of an inspector in one piece.
Expiry drives allocation, not first-in-first-out
The earliest expiry ships first, and an order requiring a minimum remaining shelf life cannot be filled from stock that fails it even when that stock is nearest the door.
The registration constrains the formula
What is filed with the authority is what may be made. Changing a supplier or a specification is a regulatory event before it is a purchasing one, and the system should treat it that way.
