Kawader ERP — Metal Fabrication
Steel is purchased by weight and consumed as geometry. Everything between those two facts — the nesting, the offcut, the route through the shop — is where a fabrication job is won or lost.
What a general system gets wrong here
Bought by weight, used by shape
A plate is a tonne on the invoice and a set of cut parts on the floor. How much of the tonne becomes product is decided by the nest, and the nest is decided before the quote goes out.
Offcut and skeleton both have value
A usable remnant goes back into stock and the skeleton is sold by weight. Treating either as nothing overstates the job and makes every estimate afterwards wrong in the same direction.
A route, not a step
Cut, bend, weld, drill, galvanise, paint — some sent out to a subcontractor, all on one order, each with its own queue. The order has to survive leaving the building and coming back.
Everything in kilos
Quoted, planned, transported and invoiced by weight, so the estimate and the actual must be comparable in the same unit without anybody converting in a spreadsheet.
