Kawader ERP — Marble & Granite
A stone yard buys a cubic metre and sells a square metre, and what lies between them is inside the block where nobody can see it until the saw has finished.
What a general system gets wrong here
The yield is unknown until the block is cut
Square metres depend on the saw, the thickness and the flaws inside. The purchase was a gamble on volume and the sale is in area, so the costing only closes at the end of the line.
Vein-matched slabs stay together
Consecutive slabs from one block are a bundle. Split it and most of the value for a feature wall is gone, so the bundle has to be a thing the system can hold and refuse to break.
Area, not quantity
Every stage measures in square metres with its own wastage. A count of pieces tells you almost nothing about what you own or what you can promise.
Grade is decided after polishing
One block yields first grade and commercial grade, and the classification happens at the end. The item is identified late, and the order it was meant for may not accept it.
