Kawader ERP — Furniture & Joinery
Most furniture orders are a variant nobody has made before. A fixed bill of materials is the exception here, not the rule, and the board it is cut from decides whether the quote survives.
What a general system gets wrong here
Made to measure is the normal case
A kitchen is a set of dimensions, not a catalogue number. The bill of materials and the cutting list are generated from those dimensions, and the standard product is the rare one.
Panel optimisation decides the waste
Parts are nested on a board and what is left over is either usable stock or scrap. The quote assumed one of those, and the saw decided the other.
Finish multiplies the catalogue
One carcass in six veneers and four fabrics is one thing to make and dozens to sell. The showroom needs every combination priced without the factory holding every combination.
Delivery is assembly
The order is complete when it stands in the customer's room. A part missing on site is the most expensive shortage there is, because the crew, the lorry and the appointment are all spent.
Other trades
Plastics
Injection, blow and extrusion, where the tool is the capacity and the scrap goes back into the batch.
Resin lot to despatched pallet
Kawader ERPChemicals & Specialty Products
Reaction and blending, where a drum is a weight, an assay and a certificate, and the by-product is stock.
Raw batch to certified drum
Kawader ERPDairy, Juice & Preserves
Milk, juice, jam and paste, where the intake is priced on a lab result and the code on the pallet is the recall.
Raw intake to coded pallet
