Kawader ERP — Automotive Service Centres

A workshop sells time it cannot store. The bay is either earning or it is not, and the thing that most often stops it earning is a part that was promised to a job and sold to somebody else.

What a general system gets wrong here

The bay is the capacity

A booking consumes a lift and a technician for an estimated time. The day has to be planned in both at once, because a free technician with no lift is not capacity.

The estimate is a contract

Work found after the car is opened needs approval before it is done, and that authorisation belongs on the job card with a time on it. Without it the invoice becomes a negotiation.

One vehicle, many visits

The history is the asset. Knowing what was fitted and when is what makes the next quote credible and the next service sell itself.

Parts are reserved when promised

Not when fitted. A job card that reserves nothing leaves a car on a lift while its part goes over the counter to a walk-in who paid cash.
